People are so ridiculously idiotic oh my God??
Even if someone already deals with anxiety in real life, that same feeling can definitely show up.
Sometimes, it's not even about competition, just the fear of making the wrong move, being judged, or not doing things “right” can bring on that familiar anxious feeling. And if you're already wired to overthink or get overwhelmed, games can end up triggering the same kind of stress you might feel in social situations or high-stakes moments in real life.
And It’s not just “nerves” or being dramatic EITHER. it’s your brain doing what it always does when it senses pressure, even if it’s coming from a screen instead of real life!!? So yeah anxiety can totally exist in both spaces, and it’s valid.
So genuinely just stop fucking harassing my friend over the same REPETITIVE FOOLISH questions that makes you look like a complete idiot.???

its not even that... its just that this part of my anxiety stems from social anxiety which is just a fraction of what i experience. i don't really care if people dont ask me, i just offered a way for that person a way as well as giving a token of how i felt too, to me it just felt right to do so... i'm c+h free, i had "c+h unless with friends" so that the cuddle piles back few months ago wouldnt become so huge it was making my close friends cramped, but i have touch comfort - why would i put "dni cuddles" if i'm touch comfort? :-( i'm just really anxious about socialising with people! i'm sorry if it sounded indirect

hey for future reference. anxiety affects alot of things, especially with interaction with people. even if it's online. even if he can't feel it irl. the sensation is still there, physical or not. it's just how he feels, please respect that. please stop asking the same question over and over to my boyfriend

um. it's not about that, and i play vr constantly - i avoid public worlds on vr because it's really uncomfortable. if you seriously need me to explain, i meant "anxious" as a descriptive word of something that could happen since i wouldn't know if i need to talk to the person, if i need to say hi, or if it's rude to just stay quiet EVEN if it's excessive.. because of my generalized anxiety i overthink every single thing i do and that doesn't only mean social interactions it's just a fraction of it. i get drained easily talking to people.
asking me to c+h was just an OFFER. you do NOT need to do it, and it's FINE to sit. i do NOT CARE if you sit with me i'm simply explaining my request because someone expressed it felt mean to sit with me, so i expressed how i felt about random people sitting with me. i simply feel anxious if i need to socialise or if it's rude to stay quiet. that's all. c+h me if you want i have a touch comfort and i encourage c+h despite my anxiety.

so i kind of have generalized anxiety, and i'm pretty sure that is sort of the reason why i'd like strangers to ask before sitting next to me because sudden people appearing next to someone else could make them very anxious... just a heads up, you know. and mental illnesses and disabilities sort of, don't disappear when you turn 18. an extra thought too
